Together, we can raise funds, walk together and help end hunger in our community and around the world! CROP Hunger Walks are community-based walk events held in cities and towns across the United States raising funds to support the global mission of Church World Service, a faith-based organization transforming communities around the globe through just and sustainable responses to hunger, poverty,
displacement and disaster. Twenty five percent of the funds raised are returned to the host community to support local hunger fighting efforts. The Vallejo CROP Hunger Walk is a 3 mile walk along the picturesque Mare Island Way shoreline in Vallejo, CA. There are many ways to get involved with the Vallejo CROP Hunger Walk!
• SIGN UP AS A WALKER -- Contact a recruiter and start gathering sponsors.
• VOLUNTEER on the WALK COMMITTEE -- We can always use more hands, feet and energy; contact us for the upcoming meetings.
• RECRUIT MORE WALKERS -- Invite and encourage your friends, neighbors, coworkers to walk with you. Many people walk to help and will appreciate the chance to participate.
• SPONSOR A WALKER -- If you are unable to walk, sponsor other people who are walking or get your employer to match your gift! Please be as generous as possible for this annual event for the hungry.
• TALK TO YOUR EMPLOYER ABOUT BECOMING A SPONSOR -- We accept matching gifts, in-kind donations, and sponsor donations to make this event possible.
