Delightful to join this group of walkers/bird watchers and friends this evening on the Mare Island San Pablo Bay Trail, honoring the 32nd anniversary of the service of many dozens of fellow community members and State and Federal environmental agencies on the US Navy’s Mare Island Naval Shipyard Restoration Advisory Board. April 12, 1994-April 12, 2026. Environmental cleanup makes reuse possible. Here it is in action tonight.

Our petition to return as the Founding Nonprofit land trust managers of the Mare Island Shoreline Heritage Preserve is moments from another milestone! We have 9. NINE more signatures to reach 9,300 of our 10,000 goal sending a loud and clear message to the Vallejo Mayor and City Council that just because the Preserve was reopened as a jogging trail, it needs to return to the Nature and Cultural History Wildlands Community it was for the 12 plus years the Mare Island Heritage Trust founded and funded it for our community enjoyment and for the enjoyment of ALL Californians.
