Some of our CR's partnered up with Stanford College Republicans to have a protest against the recently enacted gas tax in a statewide event known as the " " at Palo Alto City Hall. This tax is yet another financial burden that is unfairly placed on Californians by the Democrats. While proponents of this legislation say that it will lead to infrastructure renewal and development it is clear that this program has a net disadvantage that disproportionately effects people in lower income brackets. Thanks to CCR Chairwomen Rowlands for organizing CR protests statewide against this heinous taxation.

Some of our board members attended the College Republican Leadership Retreat in Yorba Linda, CA at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library this weekend. The Rebuild CCR team; A weekend filled with amazing programming and phenomenal speakers.

"Attending my second California College Republicans Statewide Convention I was excited to experience the exchange of ideas and thoughtful yet spirited debate regarding the best direction to carry this extremely important organization.

However I was completely disgusted at the divisive behavior displayed by the current executive board and Thrive CCR. The un- inclusive nature of their actions and the vitriol was frankly appalling. The lackluster programming, logistics, and scheduling coupled with the sheer and utter disregard for parliamentary procedure and competency during the general session on the part of the current executive board was one of the primary drivers that led to the failure of a vote as to who will lead the organization in the coming year.

The College Republicans at the California Maritime Academy would like to commend the leadership displayed by Rebuild CCR and Ariana Rowlands in their push for transparency in the face of rampant corruption and suppression. Rebuild CCR through the chaos kept the best interests of College Republicans statewide at the core of their actions.

We call for all College Republicans in our great state to re evaluate who they will choose in the coming election. Thrive CCR has continually sought to drive us apart and it is our duty to say enough is enough. In what ever form this election takes place we call our colleagues and peers to continue the fight for the future of this storied organization so that we may continue to further the ideals of our party."
