Good morning folks. The Delta Design Team has been working diligently to reach a point where we are currently. Some vital milestones include:

- Applied for building permit
- Finalized design decisions
- In-bay construction and site work has commenced
- The Historical District of Valle Crucis approved the Certificate of Appropriateness
- Latest renderings completed

Greetings Valle Crucis and surrounding communities' family and friends! Lots of progress has been made by the Delta Design Build Studio since we've last updated our page. Chad Everhart, Program Coordinator of Building Science at Appalachian State University, in Boone, NC recently brought students enrolled in the 'Integrative Design Experience Lab' for the Department of Technology and Environmental Design.
Students got a first-hand look at what makes a Deltec different from other homes, from the aerodynamic shape to the quality of the materials used, to the combination of precision engineering and hands-on craftsmanship that make a Deltec stand out in terms of quality and durability. App State is one of the premier green building schools of the Southeast, and we are proud to be a part of their syllabus! Students first sat in on a short presentation by Steve Linton, president of Deltec Homes. After a tour of the manufacturing facilities, led by Linton, Deltec's green building coordinator Leigha Dickens gave a presentation specific to green building practices and Deltec's green manufacturing processes.

Delta Design Build Studio is fortunate enough to work with the Valle Crucis Community Park in the development of a Visitor Center & Park Office for the community and park employees. This project will be in development from Fall of 2014 until the building's completion in late May 2015.

Project Objective:
A Visitor Center & Park Office that emphasizes the historical importance of the park while providing a work space for employees, indoor public restrooms, and an educational facility for the community and visitors.
The new Visitor Center & Park Office will become an integral space for visitors and a focal point of the Valle Crucis Community Park; one that celebrates the town’s rich heritage as well as showcases its bright future.
