Valeria has some exciting news! After years of saving with the assistance of countless volunteers, we have finally accumulated enough funds for much-needed renovations to the City Hall building. Originally constructed several years ago to house the Valeria fire truck, the building has also served as a venue for Christmas parties, family reunions, and our monthly city council meetings.
Over the years, council members have contributed by painting, fixing water lines, and replacing the furnace. Due to our limited resources, it has taken years to save enough to make significant improvements. The renovation will include a complete overhaul of the interiors, which will involve updating the bathrooms, installing new windows, and upgrading the wiring and plumbing. Additionally, we will add new lighting, walls, and ceilings.
We are currently $2,000 short of funding the replacement of the large overhead door with a smaller, more cost-efficient one, and we need your help. Council Member Kathie Forck has pledged to donate her wages for 2025, and Angie Craft has donated her last quarterly wages. With their contributions, we now only need $1,640 to reach our goal.
We are excited to announce our plans to host an annual Christmas party and introduce a monthly community social that will welcome both past and present residents once it is completed. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant impact. To support these events, we are organizing a pop can drive. We greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide. Thank you for your support!
