September is National Su***de Prevention Awareness Month.

This September, Legacy Behavioral Health is raising awareness about su***de prevention and the importance of knowing how to recognize the signs and respond when someone may be struggling.

Through our free QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Su***de Prevention Training, we equip community members with practical, life-saving skills to recognize warning signs, offer hope, and connect someone to help. So far this year, 347 individuals across our 10-county service area have received QPR training!

We bring this FREE, one-hour training directly to your group or organization! We provide all training materials and su***de prevention resources, and training can be offered:
📍 At your location
💻 Virtually
🏢 At a location provided by Legacy Behavioral Health

Thanks to funding from the Greater Valdosta United Way all QPR classes are provided at no cost to participants.

Want to bring QPR training to your organization? Contact Ashlie Prain today at [email protected].

Learn the skills. Start the conversation. Save a life.

This morning, our team was proud to be out in the community cheering on participants of the 9/11 Memorial 5K hosted by the Valdosta Fire Department and recognize the brave first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Events like today remind us of the power of community. ❤️ When we come together to remember, support one another, and show up for those who serve, United is the way.
