Lodac is proud to introduce four-hour parenting class and teen focus group to the community, thanks to a grant from Georgia Bar Foundation, INC. After months of preparation, our first class is scheduled for January 22, 2025. We will be offering the class free at this time.

LODAC is excited to announce we will be offering a four hour parenting class once a month. Following months of development, our program is now ready. The four hour course will be provided at no cost at this time. We will announce the date of the first class within the next week, and look forward to supporting local families.

We are deeply grateful to have the opportunity to distribute mana boxes to select seniors a VHA, and we were able to restock the outside food pantry at the Salvation Army building on Smithland Place.

LODAC offers free mentoring and counseling to youth in VCS and LCS free, as well as truancy prevention program. For more information please reach out to us at LODAC.

• Students who meet regularly with their mentors are 52% less likely than their peers to skip a day of school and 37% less likely to skip a class.

• Youth who meet regularly with their mentors are 46% less likely than their peers to start using illegal drugs and 27% less likely to start drinking.
