October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this year we’re joining the City of Valdez and our community in recognizing October 13th as Valdez Wears Pink Day!

The City of Valdez issued an official proclamation on October 6th. This recognizes October 13th as a day to encourage our community to wear pink, in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day.

The day is an opportunity to remember those we have lost, celebrate survivors, support those still facing breast cancer, and encourage both women and men to know their risk, recognize changes, and seek recommended screening and medical care.

We’re always grateful for opportunities to give back to the communities we serve. Today, some of our Copper Valley Telecom team members volunteered at the Valdez Food Bank to help with food distribution.

Thank you to the Valdez Food Bank for the work you do to support our community, and to our employees who took time to lend a hand. We’re proud to be part of a community that looks out for one another.
