One of the best parts of Flex Fridays at Valdez High School is the opportunity for students to enjoy enrichment activities in addition to getting help from their teachers!

Once students finish the work they need to focus on, they get to explore a fun new hobby, learn a new skill, and try something different. We love seeing our students learn, grow, and discover new interests!

Last Friday, our Football Team decided that instead of just talking about appreciation, they were going to put it into action.

As a team, they voted to hand-deliver individual cards to staff, parents, coaches, students, and community members — anyone who cooked meals, showed up in the stands, encouraged them, or helped them keep going week after week.

These young men understand that football is about more than what happens on the field. It’s about gratitude, character, leadership, and recognizing the people who stand behind you.

That’s leadership. That’s Buccaneer pride. 🏴‍☠️💙

160 students, 25 staff, endless traffic… and somehow, our school stays clean, neat, and tidy!

Our three amazing custodians work tirelessly throughout the day and night to keep our school looking its best and often make it look like no one has even been here!

Their hard work, dedication, and behind-the-scenes efforts make such a difference every single day. We are so grateful for everything they do to keep our school running smoothly and looking great.

We truly would be a mess without them!
