We are excited to officially unveil our newly wrapped VRS community outreach trailer!

A huge thank you to Matt's Signs for the outstanding work bringing our design to life and creating what has truly become a rolling billboard for the many initiatives and services we provide throughout our community. The trailer not only looks incredible, but also helps us better connect with the residents we serve.

You’ll notice several QR codes displayed on the trailer that provide direct access to important resources on our website, including:
• Community Training Programs
• Child Car Seat Installations & Inspections
• Our H.E.L.P. (Healthcare Equipment Lending Program)

This trailer is utilized regularly to deliver H.E.L.P. equipment to individuals and families in need throughout Columbia County, and you’ll also begin seeing it at many of our community events, trainings, public education programs, and outreach initiatives.

We are proud to continue expanding the ways we engage with and support our community both on and off the ambulance. Be sure to keep an eye out for the trailer around the county!

The EMS community, along with several EMS agencies throughout Columbia County, has lost a true legend.

John brought joy to every room he walked into. After completing a dedicated career with the Albany Fire Department, he continued serving others through his work with several agencies here in Columbia County. Throughout his career, he touched countless lives, mentored and taught so many of us, and left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

We mourn the loss of this remarkable man and keep his family, loved ones, friends, and EMS family in our hearts during this difficult time.

Tonight, we had the opportunity to participate in a great training at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Barnwelll Nursing Home alongside the Valatie Fire Department. Working with a strong group of facility staff, we conducted hands-on evacuation simulations, moving patients through a variety of realistic scenarios.

This was a valuable collaboration focused on one shared goal—ensuring patients can be moved safely and efficiently in the event of an emergency. Trainings like this help strengthen coordination, communication, and confidence across all teams involved.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the staff and leadership at Barnwell Nursing Home for welcoming us into your facility and allowing us to provide this training. Your engagement and commitment to patient safety truly made this a success.

We look forward to continuing these partnerships and building on the great work accomplished tonight.
