Watch CNN Original Series This Land on Sunday at 8:00 PM CST on CNN, featuring The Descendants Project founders Jo and Joy Banner as they recount the moving legacy of their ancestor Big Anthony, who was once enslaved at Laura Plantation.

Laura Plantation had the honor of participating in the original series, This Land, premiering on June 7th at 9pm ET/PT (8pm CT)

This series follows the impacts of the Louisiana Purchase, westward expansion, and much more. It also features testimony from descendants of period-specific key figures to truly understand how these events connect to our modern day.

In partnership with the , Laura Plantation will host a screening of the first episode on June 11th. Space will be limited, so check back for registration information soon!
