For the second time in just a week, California has lost another officer in the line of duty. Today the Vacaville Police Department grieves with the family of San Bernardino County Deputy Sheriff Andrew Nunez, who was tragically killed on Monday, October 27th.

Deputy Nunez was responding to a call involving a woman being threatened by an armed man in a domestic violence incident. When he and his partners arrived, the suspect opened fire, striking Deputy Nunez in the head. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later passed away. The suspect fled on a motorcycle, leading law enforcement on a dangerous pursuit along a major freeway. An off-duty narcotics officer intervened, striking the suspect’s motorcycle and bringing the chase to an end.

Deputy Nunez served with the San Bernardino Sheriff's Department for 6 years and was known for serving with deep compassion for the community he served. He is survived by his expectant wife, two year old daughter, mother and four siblings.

The Vacaville Police Department sends its sincerest condolences to Deputy Nunez's family, brothers and sisters with and all those who knew and loved him. His sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Rest in Peace, #3181.

Thank you! Please support Blended Acres!😄

September is both Mental Health Awareness Month and Su***de Prevention Month—two causes that are deeply personal and part of our story.

This year, we’ve chosen to partner with the 10-33 Foundation, an organization that walked alongside us and the first responders who answered the call to our home in December 2022.

The 10-33 Foundation continues to provide unwavering support, counseling, and guidance to first responders and their families after tragic events. They truly understand the weight carried on the front lines and the unique challenges that come with it.

Through September, we will be donating 5% of our profits to the 10-33 Foundation to help support their mission of caring for first responders and their families. We will also have a jar set up in store to leave donations directly to the foundation.
