Red Ribbon week is held from October 23-31st as a way for people and communities to unite and take a stand against substance abuse. As part of Red Ribbon Week, Vacaville AWARE and Vacaville Unified School District will hold its 11th Annual Team Up Against Drugs Campaign. Schools can pick any day during Red Ribbon Week to participate in the campaign. No need to notify us of the day. All that is required is the following:
1. Students wear sports gear such as t-shirts, jerseys, hats, socks, etc. or the color red on the chosen date.
2. On the day of the campaign, schools must count the number of participating students and report the number to [email protected] no later than Tuesday, November 1st. Please send the following information:
a. Number of youth that participated
b. Number of youth enrolled in your school
c. Class that had the highest participation rate
Each school with a 50% student participation rate will be entered into a drawing and may have the honor of being the “Team Up Against Drugs” trophy holder for one year. If selected, your school’s name will be added to the trophy.

In addition, the class with the highest participation rate at each school will be entered into a raffle to win a $50 school supplies gift card for the teacher of that class.

Good luck!
