Healing from trauma starts with giving yourself permission to feel, to release, and to grow. It’s not about forgetting what happened — it’s about reclaiming your power, one breath, one step, one moment at a time. Be gentle with yourself… healing is a journey, not a race

Step 1: Ground Yourself with Daily Rituals
Morning Affirmations: Start each day by speaking life into yourself.
Example: “I am strong, I am healing, I am free.”

Breathwork & Meditation: Deep belly breathing (inhale 4 seconds, hold 4 seconds, exhale 4 seconds) helps calm the nervous system.

Sunlight & Movement: Step outside, absorb energy from the sun, stretch, or dance to high-vibe music.

Step 2: Release Stored Trauma from the Body
Exercise & Shake It Off: Trauma lives in the body—jump, dance, or do yoga to release it.

Cry & Scream Therapy: Find a safe space and let it out. Suppressed emotions must be expressed.

Water Therapy: Take cleansing showers or baths with essential oils (lavender for calm, peppermint for energy).

Step 3: Rewire Your Mindset for Power
Journaling: Write out pain and then rewrite your story from a place of strength.
Say “I reclaim my power” whenever triggers arise.
Visualization: See yourself thriving, glowing, and unshaken by past wounds.

Step 4: Protect Your Energy & Set Boundaries
Cut Off Toxic Connections: Energy vampires must go.
Say NO Without Guilt: Your peace is non-negotiable.
Surround Yourself with Light: People, music, and content that uplift you.

Step 5: Spiritual & Emotional Healing
Pray - Surrender pain and ask for guidance.

Healing: Focus on balancing

Step 6: Speak & Live in Gratitude
Write 3 Things You’re Grateful For Daily: Shift focus to abundance.

Give Yourself Credit: You survived. Now, you THRIVE.
Help Others When Ready: Your testimony can be someone else’s survival guide.

💜 YOU ARE NOT WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU—YOU ARE WHAT YOU CHOOSE TO BECOME. 💜

Breaking the Silence: A Message of Strength and Hope

To every survivor, to every soul still trapped in the shadows of abuse—your voice matters, your life is valuable, and your strength is immeasurable. Domestic violence does not define you. It is a chapter, not your entire story.

You are worthy of love that does not hurt, of a home that is safe, and of a future filled with peace. No one has the right to break your spirit, silence your truth, or make you feel less than who you are—a warrior, a survivor, a soul deserving of respect and dignity.

To those still in the storm: You are not alone. There is help, there is hope, and there is healing. Reach out. Speak up. You are seen, heard, and deeply valued.

To those who have broken free: Your courage is a beacon of light for others. Keep healing, keep growing, and keep sharing your truth. Your story has the power to inspire change and save lives.

To those who support survivors: Your kindness, patience, and unwavering belief in their journey make all the difference. Keep being a voice for those who feel unheard.

Let’s break the cycle. Let’s break the silence. Love should never hurt. Together, we rise.

If you or someone you know is in danger, please seek help. Call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 800-799-SAFE (7233). You are never alone. You are loved. You are strong. And you will rise.

This year, The Vicky C Hope Foundation partnered along side Sanctuary Church N was able to bless 14 kids with multiple gifts for Christmas. These are kids who have been impacted by domestic violence. We would like to thank everyone who impacted these children's lives in a positive way through your generosity of giving.

The video attached is of all the gifts that were given away.

POEM: “From victim to survivor, now I sing”

In shadows, I once dwelled, a silent plea,
A victim of a cruel, oppressive spree.
But from the depths of darkness, I'd arise,
With newfound strength, to claim the open skies.

Through tear-stained nights and whispered, hushed despair,
I found the courage, whispered in the air.
With trembling heart, I broke the chains that bound,
To rise above, my voice a resolute sound.

No longer silenced, I would stand so tall,
A survivor, I'd break free from it all.
With every step, I'd mend my shattered soul,
Transforming pain into a story to be told.

For in my journey, I'd discover grace,
And from the ashes, find my rightful place.
With empathy and love, I'd heal the scars,
A beacon of hope beneath the stars.

From victim to survivor, now I sing,
A testament to the strength that life can bring.
With empathy and love, I'll make my choice,
To rise with dignity, and to rejoice.

In victory, my voice will proudly soar,
A symbol of resilience, forevermore.
For I have risen from the darkest night,
To be a beacon of courage, shining bright.

POEM “ From victim to victor, forever changed!“ 💪🏾

In shadows, once I dwelled, a victim's plight,
Bound by chains of fear, through endless night.
But hear me now, for I have found my way,
From darkness to the dawn of a brand new day.

With courage as my shield, I stood so tall,
Breaking free from the chains that held my soul.
No longer bound by pain, I now take flight,
A survivor, a warrior, in freedom's light.

In every scar, a testament to strength,
In every tear, a river's boundless length.
I rise above, a phoenix from the fire,
With newfound strength, I reach higher and higher.

No longer silenced, my voice now rings clear,
In my victory, there's nothing left to fear.
I've reclaimed my life, my spirit unchained,
From victim to victor, forever changed.

So, let this be a story of hope and grace,
For anyone who's in a darkened place.
You too can rise, break free, and thrive,

🦋
