Here's my comments ro City Council regarding another payment to "special investigator"Jesse Prado tonight

As I recall , Prado told us all in the meeting regarding the
investigation which cleared the Uvalde Police Department
of any wrongdoing that he would meet with the families.
Then went outside and told the media the exact same
thing . Is he contractional obligated to do so?. If, he's a
man of his word then his job is not done, and you should
hold him accountable before paying his bill.

After the public comments it was discussed and acted upon in the consent agenda
Here's the result

He was paid anyway and possibly more payments to come
The council maintains that they were given the contractual agreement between the Tarski Law firm and Jesse Prado today. Just a reminder this investigation began in July 2022 and no one saw a contract till today

What an awesome way to officially kick off my Campaign for Mayor. A huge thank you to all my supporters for helping us pull it all together, Bryan Alderson and Uvalde Chevrolet for providing the sweetest ride in the parade. J Anson Bills you are my right hand and priceless. One of reasons for running is Adam Bils I want him to always know that everything is possible. The decorating crew Dawn Swapp, Blanca, and mom for cutting and sticking labels on hundreds of Smarties candies. Miguel for putting my shirts together and heping my vision for the shirts come to life. To those who packed my float thank you, thank you, thank you for passing out signs, candy, balls, and buttons. Finally, the Uvalde community for the outpouring of love and support shown through the parade it motivates even more to keep the gas pedal matted

Questions from a potential voter and my answers

I appreciate your passion. But as a 73 yr. Old , very disabled person...PLEASE GIVE US SOME DETAILS ON EXACTLY WHAT YOU PLAN TO BE DOING TO, "SHAKE UP CITY COUNCIL"?
WHAT ARE YOUR MAJOR GOALS? WILL YOU BE DEMANDING THE SCHOOLS ARE FITTED WITH METAL DETECTORS? WILL THE SCHOOL BUSES BE FITTED WITH SAFETY BELTS? Will they have air conditioning?

Will you be requesting an automatic, REQUIRED AUDIT OF OF ALL COMPUTERS WITH ACCESS TO CITY, COUNTY, STATE AND FEDERAL TAX DOLLARS?
THE RESULTS WOULD HAVE TO BE RELEASED TO THE PUBLIC IMMEDIATELY.
I GIVE YOU THOSE ISSUES AS PART OF YOUR CAMPAIGN PROMISES AND THEN YOU CAN ASK FOR MONEY.

Yes ma'am first I would like to to thank you for the questions and concerns I speak of "shaking up" the council because this election does exactly/that as four of the six seats are up for grabs If Uvaldeans really want change now is the time to do it. Uvalde is ran by 3 entities the City, County, and school board. Over the past 2 years and even before that I have heard each of these entities continually pass the buck or rather the responsibility to one another. As mayor I will encourage working together by having a continuous flow of information and open communication between the 3 entities I believe Uvaldeans need to have their voices heard and listened to (there is a difference) as well as acted upon

School safety is always a top priority as I have been in direct communication with our superintendent regarding metal detectors and they should be operational and in the buses the ac are working but the buses are over crowded making it harder to cool the buses. As far as safety belts as I do not know, but I will find out and let you know
Your question about finances and audits I believe that we need to do a city audit and find out where the money's been going and how we can better utilize it. I will have no authority with the school board or county therefore fostering great relationships with the school board and the county is of the utmost importance. I hope this answers some of your questions. Don't hesitate to ask more questions I'm happy to answer them thank you

I am a giving, driven, intelligent, independent, and strong woman. I don't like asking for help, I just figure it out that's what I was taught to do. I learned that I need to work twice as hard as everyone else to accomplish my goals. I dream of many things;, becoming mayor of Uvalde is not one of those dreams, it's a goal and it is attainable
