Happy Friday, Uvalde!

Labor Day Weekend is officially here! Our community is buzzing with excitement as we welcome visitors from all over for two of our favorite traditions: the annual Labor Day Parade on Saturday morning and the 30th Annual Palomino Fest.

As we celebrate, please remember to drive safely, obey traffic laws, and most importantly, look out for one another. Have a wonderful weekend, Uvalde. You’ve earned it!

⚠️Offcers have responded to a 2 vehicle accident on South Getty Street. South Getty traffic headed northbound is down to one lane.

Please use caution as officers work the scene.

Officers assisted Uvalde Volunteer Fire Department in the early morning hours at the 700 block of South Evans Street.
Upon arrival a structure fire was discovered at the La Quinta Apartments.

No injuries were reported.

High Visibility. High Impact. Safer Roads.

This weekend, the Uvalde Police Department is teaming up with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) and our local law enforcement partners for Saturation Saturday on August 29th.

With one of the busiest travel weekends of the year right around the corner, our officers will be out in full force with increased patrols and high-visibility enforcement to stop DWI before it starts.
Our mission is simple: Zero impaired drivers and zero preventable tragedies.

If you’re heading out to celebrate this weekend, please plan ahead:
• Designate a sober driver before the night starts.
• Step in if you see a friend about to drive under the influence.

Let's work together to keep our roads and community safe.
Drive sober or get pulled over.

Uvalde PD is making sure this acorn gets back to its rightful place at Memorial Park!🚓

Come join us on Saturday 8/22 starting at 8:30am. Volunteers still needed to help get our beautiful park back in order.

⚠️We ask that you stay clear of the 100 block of Cobb Street at this time. A swarm of bees has been discovered and we are asking residents to stay indoors, in that areas, in order to prevent from getting stung.
Please use extreme caution.
