Twenty-five years later, we remember. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

On September 11, 2001, our nation experienced a tragedy that forever changed countless lives.

Today, the Priority OnDemand family of companies honors the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the courage of the first responders who ran toward danger and all those forever impacted by the events of that day.

We also remember those who answered the call in the days, months and years that followed, including first responders who later lost their lives to illnesses connected to their service at Ground Zero.

A quarter-century has passed, but we have not forgotten.

We remember the lives. We remember the courage. We remember the sacrifice.

Today is World Su***de Prevention Day ๐Ÿ’›

During Su***de Prevention Month, Priority Ambulance is joining communities across the country in raising awareness, encouraging connection, and reminding one another that asking for help is a sign of strength.

A simple check-in can make a difference. Take time to reach out, listen without judgment, and remind the people around you that they donโ€™t have to face difficult moments alone.

If you or someone you know is struggling, support is available. Call or text 988 to connect with the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

For Priority Ambulance employees and members of their households, our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) also provides confidential, no-cost support for stress, anxiety, depression, and other challenges.

September is National Preparedness Month, a great reminder that emergencies and disasters can happen when we least expect them. โ›ˆ๏ธ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐ŸŒช๏ธ

Across Priority Ambulance and our family of companies, our teams know how important it is to have a plan before an emergency happens. A little preparation today can make a big difference when every minute matters.

Here are a few ways to help make sure you and your family are ready:

๐Ÿ“‹ Make a plan: Know where youโ€™ll go, how youโ€™ll communicate, and where youโ€™ll meet if you become separated.

๐ŸŽ’ Build an emergency kit: Include water, nonperishable food, flashlights, batteries, first-aid supplies, necessary medications, chargers, and other essentials.

๐Ÿ“ฑ Stay informed: Know how youโ€™ll receive local weather alerts, evacuation notices, and other emergency information.

๐Ÿ  Know your risks: Learn which disasters are most likely where you live and prepare accordingly, whether thatโ€™s severe storms, tornadoes, hurricanes, flooding, wildfires, or extreme temperatures.

๐Ÿพ Donโ€™t forget your pets: Include food, water, medications, carriers, and other pet supplies in your emergency plans.

๐Ÿš— Prepare on the go: Keep basic emergency supplies in your vehicle and try to avoid letting your fuel or battery level get too low.

Preparedness starts before the emergency. Take some time this month to make a plan, check your supplies, and talk with your family about what to do if disaster strikes.

Plan ahead. Stay informed. Be prepared. ๐Ÿš‘

๐Ÿ’œ International Overdose Awareness Day

Today, we remember those whose lives have been lost to overdose, support the families and communities affected, and stand with those on the journey toward recovery.

Substance use disorder is a medical condition, not a moral failing.

Recovery is possible.

If you or someone you know is struggling, know that help is available. Reaching out can be the first step toward healing.
