Happy Juneteenth!

The City of Utica, NY City Hall might be closed today, but I'd like to share the City social post we have out there, and give a special thanks to Councilman Venice Ervin for meeting me down at City Hall today for today's holiday, and letting us use his flag for a bit.

See you all at tomorrow's event at Kemble Park.

A Reminder to Residents on Reporting Concerns and Service Requests

While we have no shortage of requests for assistance, maintenance, and issues one of the very things we love to do is ensure we can both respond and react to the many reports that come in throughout the day. The Mayor, his direct staff, and city departments are ready to respond. The City of Utica is committed to providing responsive and efficient services to our residents. If you observe an issue that requires attention, we encourage you to report it through one of the official channels listed below.

Online Reporting
Residents may submit service requests directly through the City’s website: cityofutica.com/report-a-problem

2026 Utica Mayor’s Benefit Gala Raises over $85k for Abraham House

Utica, NY – Abraham House’s CEO Gina Ciaccia, their executive leadership, and board, joined by Mayor and Mrs. Galime are pleased to announce an incredibly successful 2026 Gala.

The year’s event, lovingly named “Lighting the Way” was extremely well attended. With 883 tickets sold and sponsored, and over 850 in attendance, together we are pleased to announce that the total donations came in at $85,545.00.

The proceeds of this event will make major strides towards Abraham House’s goal in growing to 10 homes within the next 10 years, while continuing to provide the end-of-life dignity services to community members and their families. More information about Abraham House can be found at www.theabrahamhouse.org.

Each year an incredible outpouring of community support is responsible for making the event what it is. We would like to encourage all to visit https://uticamayorsbenefitgala.com/sponsors/ to see the wonderful list of who and what made everything possible – in addition to each and every person who purchased a ticket.

Thank you.

For any additional questions please reach out to Mayor Mike Galime at 315.525.4224 or Gina Ciaccia at Abraham House 315.733.8210.
