This dog was found in the area of Van D**e and Hahn.

The dog appears to be a female German Shepherd.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Take notice there will be a public hearing on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. to gain citizen input regarding the proposed FY 2026/2027 budget. Copies of the proposed budget are available for review in the Administration Offices located at 7550 Auburn Road, Utica, Michigan from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Friday.

The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing.

Comments will be heard at the time of the meeting.

WEEKEND UNWIND

The schedule for the 2026 Weekend Unwind is ready.

The weekly concert series kicks off on Friday, June 5th and continues through September 4th.

There's no charge and music plays from 7 pm until 10 pm at downtown Utica's beautiful Memorial Park.

Come hear some of your favorites from past years and enjoy the sounds of new artists Sheila Landis (jazz, blues, pop) and GlenBrooke & The Wild Weeds (country).

LANE CLOSURES ON HALL ROAD

Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has announced the following road work in Utica.

Westbound Hall Road from Schoenherr Road to M-53 will have two lanes open and two lanes closed from 9 a.m. Monday, May 18 through 9 a.m. Friday, May 22.

Work will be suspended for the Memorial Day holiday weekend.

The lane closures will resume at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 26 through 9 a.m. Friday, May 29.
