342nd Family,

I wanted to share a fundraiser being held for Sam Spencer, son of our former First Sergeant, 1SG Spencer.

Sam was recently diagnosed with a Grade 2 astrocytoma (brain tumor) and is facing significant medical expenses as he begins treatment. Our Army family has always been good about taking care of our own, and this is an opportunity to show some support for a family who has been part of the 342nd.

The fundraiser will be held Sunday, August 16, from 10 AM–9 PM at Sol Del Mar in Tuscola, Illinois. Stop by for a meal, visit with the family, purchase a 50/50 ticket, or simply help by sharing the fundraiser.

If you're able, please come out and support Sam and the Spencer family. Every little bit helps. ❤️

Wednesday, May 7 is the next Financial Literacy class at the VPH Crystal Lake drop-in center.

Ricardo Rocha will be leading the discussion on Dave Ramsey's Baby Steps Program.

All veterans are invited to stay after the class for our weekly group night dinner provided by the VAC.
