🚧 Heads up, Urbana! 🚧

At 7 a.m. on Monday, June 15, work will begin on the Lincoln Avenue Complete Streets Demonstration Project between Killarney Street and Fairview Avenue.

See more information here: https://www.urbanail.gov/public-works/page/lincoln-avenue-complete-streets-demonstration.

This work will require intermittent lane shifts during construction. Two-way traffic and access to all local properties will be maintained for the duration of the project.

This project will update roadway striping and return the corridor to four travel lanes as part of a federally funded demonstration designed to evaluate safety improvements for all roadway users.

πŸ“£ We want your feedback!
The demonstration will help inform future improvements along Lincoln Avenue, and community input is an important part of the process.

Last night's storms caused significant damage throughout our community, and City crews have been working since 8 p.m. to respond to downed trees, large limbs, and debris.

The Public Works Department continues to assess and address storm-related issues to help keep streets safe and accessible.

If you see:
β€’ A tree or large branch obstructing a street or roadway
β€’ Damage to a City-owned tree
β€’ A tree-related hazard within the public right-of-way

please contact the Public Works front desk at 217-384-2342.

We appreciate your patience as crews work through service requests and thank our Public Works staff for their efforts to respond to storm damage across Urbana.

The candy was sour.
The reactions were priceless.

See who came out on top. πŸ˜…
