Join us for an entertaining and deeply personal account of Chuck and Norma Sink, a normal couple, who set out to fulfill a lifetime dream: hiking the Appalachian Trail. Their journey began in Georgia, and concluded 2,175 miles later atop Mount Katahdin, Maine.
This presentation will explore the peaks and valleys of life on the trail. You’ll feel the sting of -20°F wind chills in Georgia, the stifling 100-degree heat of New York, and the sheer terror of facing 80 mph remnants of Hurricane Katrina on a New Hampshire ridgeline.
They will share the humor of hitchhiking with their buddy "Mayfly," the logistical puzzles solved with only the gear on their backs, and the profound impact of "Trail Magic" provided by strangers.
Lace up your boots and come along for a virtual trek across fourteen states.
Light refreshments will be served.
