In general, we work to promote the ideas of economic and social liberty, in that we oppose any sort of authoritative body, whether it be the school administration or the government, stepping-in to tell you how to live your life. Along these lines, some of our past events include:
A drinking laws protest, complete with root beer kegger, on the quad
A protest/awareness event concerning the
Patriot Act
An anti-drug war event with free brownies given out of cooking pots (pot brownies)
A protest of the TSA
A showing of Busted: A Citizen's Guide to Surviving Police Encounters to educate students on their rights when dealing with police
Several anti-war events
A national debt & overspending awareness event
An extensively publicized protest on the smoking ban
And many, many more
We hold weekly meetings where we plan events and have discussions on diverse topics and how the principles of liberty are involved. We have held forums on foreign policy, gun control, healthcare, higher education, and many other topics.
