Our Story

2019 Season Opening Day: Saturday, May 25th *Weather Permitting* Weather Guidelines: In order to ensure the safety of all of our visitors, the Urbana City Pool will operate under the following guidelines pertaining to inclement weather: When lightning or thunder is seen or heard, the pool will be cleared for 30 minutes. After each recurrence of thunder or lightning, the 30 minute rest period will restart If the thunderstorms are persistent, the pool manager will close the pool. If persistent thunderstorms result in pool closure: During morning swim lessons: the pool manager will re-evaluate the weather at 12 noon and determine if it is safe to open. During open swim from noon to 3 pm: the pool manager will re-evaluate the weather at 3:30 pm and determine if it is safe to open. During open swim after 4 pm- the pool will be closed for the remainder of the evening. Pool rentals will be at the manager's discretion. If the air temperature drops below 65 degrees and the skies are overcast and/or raining, the pool office will open for information and membership sales only from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 pm. The weather will be re-evaluated at 2:00 pm and the guidelines for thunderstorms (as listed above) will be followed. If the weather is questionable please call the pool office to find out the status of operations. Daily Admission: Children 2 and under FREE Adult $5 (age 18 to 59) Child $4 (age 3-17) Seniors (age 60 and up) FREE Individual Season Pass: Adult $75 (age 18 to 59) Child $65 (age 3-17) Family Season Pass: 2-3 persons $140 4 persons $150 5 persons $160 6 persons $170 Additional persons $10 Babysitter / Babysat Child $20 Pool Pass Regulations: Season/Family passes are not transferable and may only be used by the person whose name appears on the pass. Passes will be revoked, without a refund, if there is misuse. Season/Family passes can include parents and their children under the age of 18. Children 18 through 23 are only included on season passes if they are a full-time student. Proof of student status must be provided by the parents. When a family pass is purchased, proof of residency may be required. A utility bill or check stub can be used as proof. Family passes do not include grandparents, nannies, baby sitters, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, or out of town guests. There will be a $5.00 replacement charge, per pass, if it is lost or stolen. Nurses and/or medical caregivers are permitted to be placed on a family pass if documentation is provided stating the medical condition. All youth under eight (8) years of age are to be directly supervised by an adult or babysitter fifteen (15) years of age or older. Exceptions may be made at discretion of management. Youth age eight (8) and older can be at the pool without the direct supervision of an adult or babysitter but must know the location and be able to contact that person in the event of an emergency. Youth ages eight (8) and older should not be at the pool unsupervised for more than 4 hours at a time. Pool Rentals: *Reservation required Monday - Sunday, 7:30-9:30pm only $100 per hour Programs: Swimming Lessons: Pre-registration required. Baby, Preschool, Levels 1-6, Adult, Private Morning Sessions: Session 1: June 24 - July 5 (2 weeks) *No classes July 4, make-ups July 5* Session 2: July 15 - July 25 (2 weeks) Classes are 10:00 - 10:45 AM and 11:00 - 11:45 AM, Monday thru Thursday Evening Sessions: Session 1: June 24 - July 5 (2 weeks) *No classes July 4, make-ups July 5* Classes are 7:15 - 8:00 PM, Monday thru Thursday

First session FREE for season pass holders, each additional session is $10 per participant. $25 per session per participant for non-season pass holders. Saturdays: Private Lessons $25 for 3 half hour lessons. *Once you have registered for lessons, there will be no refunds unless a medical excuse is provided by a physician with a diagnosis of the reason for not being able to participate in the lesson. Reasons of cold weather or an uncooperative child are not eligible for refunds. Champaign Family YMCA Swim Team: Pre-registration required $55 for Y members/$75 for non Y members: includes team suit, cap and league fees (pool pass additional) Visit the Champaign Family YMCA to register and for additonal information. *Management reserves the right to make changes to the program schedule as needed.
