Amy is always making sure there are tasty treats and goodies in there for everyone who may need a little extra blessing. Her kindness does not go unnoticed, and we are so thankful for the time, heart, and effort she gives to our community.

The Blessing Barn is all about neighbors helping neighbors. Let’s always remember our saying:

Blessing Barns Community Update

With gas prices going up and the cost of food continuing to rise, we are seeing a big spike in the usage of our Blessing Barns. More families, seniors, and individuals in our community are reaching for a little extra help right now.

If you have shelf-stable items at home that you are not using, we would greatly appreciate any donations to help keep the barns stocked. Every can, box, and bag truly makes a difference.

Perfect items to donate include:

Canned soups, ravioli, spaghetti, vegetables, fruit, tuna, chicken, peanut butter, jelly, cereal, oatmeal, crackers, pasta, pasta sauce, rice, instant potatoes, boxed meals, mac and cheese, granola bars, pudding cups, applesauce cups, fruit snacks, juice boxes, bottled water, hygiene items, paper products, and pet food.

Kid-friendly snacks are always a huge need, along with easy-open items for those who may not have access to a can opener.

The Blessing Barns are here for one simple reason: give a little, take a little. If you are able to give, thank you. If you need to take, please do. That is what community is all about.

There are still good people in this world… and today, we got to see that firsthand.

A HUGE thank you to Winston — a young gentleman who saw our post and didn’t hesitate. He showed up and put a roof on the Blessing Barn without being asked twice. No spotlight, no recognition needed… just pure kindness and a willingness to help others. Winston, you are truly something special, and we are beyond grateful for you. 🛠️❤️

We also want to give a big thank you to Harry for stepping up and helping get the barns back in their places. It takes a team to keep this going, and we are so thankful for people like you who jump in and make it happen.

We also want to thank every single person who reached out offering help, support, and love. It means more than we can ever put into words. This community continues to show up, and it never goes unnoticed.

✨ Because of this support, we are excited to share that the Spotted Cow barn is BACK and the Market St. barn is BACK up and running! ✨

Right now, we do need your help again…

🚨 Our Blessing Barns are hitting a critical low on food. 🚨
We are completely out in some locations, and families rely on these daily.

If you’re able, please consider donating. You can drop items off at The Spotted Cow, and we will make sure they get distributed to all of the barns.

Behind the scenes, we have some truly incredible people making this happen every single day. Our friends Downsize Farm, Woodstock, OH and CCAWL Adult Day Services and Vocational Habilitation crew are out there filling these barns in the rain, the cold, and even the heat of summer. They don’t stop. Their dedication and heart for this mission is something we are so proud of.

🛠️ We Need a Helping Hand for the Blessing Barn! 🐄💛

Our Blessing Barn has always been a special place — a spot where people can give a little and take a little when they need it most. Right now, we’re working on getting it back out by the cow… but we’ve hit a small bump in the road.

We’re looking for someone who might be willing to help us put shingles on the roof so we can get it back up and serving the community again. 🙏

This little barn means a lot to so many families, and getting it back out there quickly would make a big difference. If you (or someone you know) has the skills and a little time to spare, we would be beyond grateful!
