Our team is in the thick of construction season! So, what better time than now to feature one of the conservation practices we work together with state and federal partners on! Grassed waterways are installed in farm fields to mainly reduce soil erosion, but they have many other benefits to the farmer and to water quality! If you are curious about the construction of a grassed waterway on your property, contact the Wyandot SWCD office today! 💧💧

Cut the cheese! No really; give me a piece of Ohio Swiss! Today is national cheese day, and June is dairy month! What started as national milk month in 1937, has evolved into a whole month of recognizing dairy producers and their contribution to feeding the world! Celebrate today with a grilled cheese sandwich, some cheese curds, or just a healthy chunk of cheese; and don’t forget to thank a farmer! 🥛🐮🧀

Much as our farmers, we recognize our military and those who laid down their lives for our freedom each and every day. Today, May 25, 2026, our office is closed as we pause to remember those that gave some and those who gave all. Regular business hours will resume tomorrow (May 26, 2026) at 7:30 a.m. Be safe!

The Wyandot Soil and Water Conservation District was pleased to award the Lowry Scholarship for 2026 to Brynlee Cundiff (left) of Upper Sandusky! Since it’s inception, the Lowry Scholarship has been made eligible to students who reside in Wyandot County who plan to or currently are pursuing a degree in the field of natural resources, environmental science, agriculture or a related field. This scholarship was made possible by the generosity of Antoinette Lowry many years ago. Congratulations to Brynlee and best of luck to all area graduates as they pursue their future endeavors! 🎓🎒✏️💧🌱🌳
