Senators were not given cash but their constituency were allocated to receive N200m worth of food while Reps constituency got N100m. However, N10m was deducted by the agency and the Senatorial & Reps constituency were meant to.receive N190m & N90m worth of food items.
A Godfearing Honourable Member said that the money will be.paid to vendors to deliver thes food items and it is not cash at hand to lawmakers. In his own way, he authorised that the entire N90m be spent as authorised by Mr President even though a close person to his heart wanted to get something out of it and he told her that she won't be there when he is facing God on the day of reckoning. This is because some lawmakers cruelly asked the vendors to take N25m and return N65m to them.
