CONVICTION ANNOUNCEMENT
Brice Wright has been convicted of Conspiracy to Commit Murder and Attempted Second-Degree Murder, and Bilal Ansariddeen has been convicted of First-Degree Assault for their roles in a coordinated stabbing attack inside the Prince George’s County
Detention Center.
On September 1, 2025, Wright and Ansariddeen entered the victim’s cell and repeatedly stabbed him with an improvised weapon. The victim sustained stab wounds to his chest and back, as well as a serious head laceration.
Despite the victim not identifying the defendants, prosecutors secured convictions through surveillance footage, medical evidence, and testimony from law enforcement and detention center personnel.

Thank you to Pastor Justin Rhodes for the invitation, and to Dr. Bobby Williams and Dr. Wallis Baxter for their leadership. I was honored to share information on public safety, scam prevention, and fraud awareness as we continue working together to keep our communities informed and safe.

I was proud to celebrate the 35 graduates of the Prince George’s County Police Department Citizens Police Academy and recognize their commitment to civic engagement and community partnership.

Special congratulations to Sgt. Erica Johnson on leading her 18th Citizens Police Academy class, an incredible testament to her dedication and service. Thank you to Chief Nador for his continued leadership and support of this impactful program.

I enjoyed joining Senator Alonzo Washington at Sarvis Café in Riverdale to talk with residents about public safety, crime prevention, and protecting our communities from scams and fraud.

I was honored to attend the Inaugural Surviving and Thriving Through Faith, Empowerment, and Perseverance Brunch hosted by Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Delta Zeta Zeta Chapter.

The powerful stories shared by survivors were a reminder that healing, hope, and resilience are possible even in the face of tremendous adversity.

As State’s Attorney, advocating for survivors is central to our mission. Every day, we work to seek justice, support healing, and ensure survivors know they are seen, heard, and never alone.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a meaningful and empowering experience. Your work is making a difference in the lives of survivors throughout our community.

Blessed to join the Men’s Day celebration at Faith Temple No. 2 Baptist Church in Capitol Heights.

It was inspiring to worship alongside so many men united in faith and fellowship. Thank you to Bishop LaVaughn Hughes, First Lady Hughes, Deacon Johnie Higgs, Melvin Forbes, Ms. Brittney Waters, and the entire church family for the warm welcome.

A beautiful day that honored the lasting legacy of the late Bishop L. M. Forbes.

Despite a packed day, I wouldn’t have missed the opportunity to celebrate the Mount Rose Chapter of The Links and their 10th Anniversary Luncheon.

It was wonderful to join so many leaders and community champions while recognizing a decade of service, impact, and excellence. Congratulations to all of the honorees, and here’s to many more years of making a difference in our community.
