State’s Attorney Braveboy spoke about the first-degree murder conviction against Harold Landon today. A jury found him guilty of killing Mariame Toure Sylla, a beloved teacher.

State’s Attorney Braveboy explained why she decided to personally prosecute this case along with Assistant State’s Attorney Jonathon Church.

Sylla’s dismembered body was found off of Old Ferry Road in Clinton in the summer of 2023.

Landon is scheduled to be sentenced on October 17th.

Combs is charged with s*x trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution.

Opening arguments are expected next week in a Manhattan courtroom.
