Today we laid to rest Chief Robert “Bubba” Adams. Although it was a tough day for all; it was also a great reason for members, past and present, to get together and celebrate the life of our friend and brother.

It is with heavy hearts, that the officers and members of the Highland Park Fire Company, regret to announce the passing of our chief Bob "Bubba" Adams. Bubba was a tremendous asset to our organization. He helped to mentor generations of firefighters in Upper Darby township, many of whom went on to have amazing careers of their own. Bubba was the kind of guy who lit up any room he walked into, which caused people to gravitate to him. His impact will be felt for a long time in the fire service across Delaware County, and his legacy will live on in all of the lives he touched. Rest in peace chief.

Welcome to the new Chief of the UDFD.

The officers and members of Garrettford-Drexel Hill Fire Co. would like to congratulate and welcome the new chief of the Upper Darby Fire Department, Nick Martin, who was sworn in at Wednesday night’s Township Council meeting. We look forward to working with Chief Martin and would also like to thank the Township administration that allowed us to be a part of the hiring process.
