National Safe Boating week is a great time to learn about the different types of PFDs and how to wear them properly -- and to check that your PFDs are in good shape for another boating season 🚣‍♀️⛵️🛥️

https://safeboatingcampaign.com/life-jackets/

Boating safety advocates recommend that all boaters and passengers not only have a life jacket, but wear it at all times while boating. Accidents on the water happen too fast to reach and put on a stowed life jacket.

National Trails Day is Saturday June 6th. The Friends are hosting a 9-mile bike ride in Washington Crossing and a three-mile towpath walk in Upper Black Eddy. You can register on our website.

ADVISORY -- Center Bridge to New Hope -- The area from Centre Bridge through New Hope is artificially watered by drawing river water through a pump. A maintenance issue is preventing operation of the pump, and the park is awaiting the natural river conditions to reach a level that will allow staff to be able to safely assess and address the situation. At this time there is no estimated timeline for restoration of pump operation.
