Renovations at Westover Park are now complete! 🎉 We’re excited to share that the updated space features brand-new safety surfacing that helps make play even more comfortable and accessible for all ages. 💚 Spring is the perfect time to get outside, explore, and rediscover this neighborhood gem tucked away in Upper Arlington. 🌷☀️

Planting roots for the future! 🌳 💚 Greensview Middle School students recently teamed up with Upper Arlington City Council and Parks & Recreation staff for a special Arbor Day tree planting. Together, they planted four Chinquapin Oak trees which are part of a future 17-species native tree grove at Sunny 95 Park. The grove is a living tribute to Ohio becoming the 17th state in 1803, and thanks to these students, it’s already growing strong!

Welcome the arrival of warmer weather at Spring Fling—one of Upper Arlington’s most popular annual events! 🌸 ☀️ Join us for a fun-filled, family-friendly day at Sunny 95 Park packed with activities for all ages. Kids can climb, explore, and discover at Touch-A-Truck, get creative with arts & crafts, bounce around on inflatables, and enjoy the always-popular Fishing Derby. Families can also grab a bite from local food trucks or cool off in the foam pit party. 🍔 🫧

This year’s event is extra special as we celebrate America 250 with the Mirolo Barn signage dedication and tree planting ceremonies—a meaningful moment you won’t want to miss!

The indoor pool at the Bob Crane Community Center will be closed from 10 am-4 pm on Friday, April 10 for routine filter maintenance. 🛠️ 💦 We picked a quieter time to minimize disruption. The pool will be open during all other regular Community Center hours.

One year, 12,000+ members and endless memories! 🎉 🙌 The Bob Crane Community Center is turning one, and what a year it’s been! Since opening in April 2025 in the heart of the Kingsdale District, this 165,000+ square foot multi-generational hub has become a favorite spot for the Upper Arlington community. From the indoor pool and fitness areas to gymnasiums, walking track, and event spaces, the building now hosts countless programs and activities for every age—all under one roof. The facility also hosts The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, including the James Survivorship Center, Orthopedic Physical Therapy, and Integrative Medicine, bringing world-class care directly to the community.

Here’s to one amazing year—and many more memories, programs, and experiences to come! 💚

CALLING ALL LOCAL ARTISTS! 🎨 ✨ The Cultural Arts Division is inviting local artists to be part of “In Pursuit of Happiness,” a community exhibition celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States. This summer showcase will fill the Concourse Gallery at the Municipal Services Center from July 15 through September 11, 2026, with original works exploring one of our nation’s most enduring ideas.

Whether your style is bold, thoughtful, abstract, or deeply personal, this is your chance to share your take on optimism, perseverance, and the collective human experience. 🖼️ 💚 Artists who live or work in Upper Arlington—as well as graduates and youth artists—are all encouraged to be part of this meaningful moment.

Selected pieces will be on display all summer long, connecting the community through art and perspective. Submissions are due by May 3. 🔗 Apply now at the link in the comments.
