If anyone would like to donate to the funeral costs and the family of SPC Abrego, a GoFundMe has been created for them. All proceeds will go to his wife, Eunice. Donate if you can.

On Thursday, May 24, 2018, James suffered a medical emergency leaving his family in immediate need of assistance. At the moment there are not many details available but wanted to get the ball rolling to support his daughter and wife during this difficult time.

It’s with a heavy heart we announce the passing of SPC James Abrego. Details for memorial services and more will be put out as the family relays it to us so please standby.

From his brother, CPT Abrego:
“With tremendous grief I must let you know that James passed away this afternoon. He was surrounded by loving family and friends. I want to thank you all for so much support. Of course he will be missed but we will all reflect on the happiness he brought to us. Please remember him as the loving man he was. We will put out more information on his service as soon as we can.”

Check this out! PSYOP officially has it’s name back! It’s no longer MISO 🍲, although let’s be honest, did we ever stop calling it PSYOP? Haha

The Army is switching back to good old PSYOP, with the understanding that military information support describes what they do but not who they are.
