Tonight, the Upland Fire Company engaged in Water Rescue Awareness training with Elder Technical Rescue. The borough's flood history necessitates regular emergency training. The Fire Company is well-equipped with PFDs, helmets, and throw ropes. Appreciation is expressed to Mike from Elder for leading the training session.

Upland Fire Company responded to Parkside Fire Company's request for assistance with a female patient experiencing distress due to a stuck wedding ring set on a swollen finger. The team utilized the Ring Rescue dolphin automatic ring cutting system to remove the rings efficiently, resulting in minor damage to the jewelry and ensuring the patient's well-being. The operation was conducted under the supervision of Parkside Fire Chief Dave Lamey.

Yesterday, members of Upland Fire Company had the pleasure of spending time with our Girl Scouts of Eastern PA Penn Delco Service Unit as they worked toward earning their First Aid Badge.

The scouts got a hands-on experience learning about what firefighters do. We gave them a tour of the fire trucks, talked about the equipment we use, and discussed how firefighters respond to emergencies. The girls also practiced an important fire safety skill — “Stop, Drop, and Roll.”

We wrapped up the visit with a fun question and answer session, where the scouts asked some great questions about fire safety and what it’s like to be a firefighter/first responder.

Thank you to the Girl Scouts for inviting us. It was great to see their enthusiasm and curiosity. We are proud to help teach fire safety and support the next generation of community leaders. 🚒🔥

The Officers and Members of Upland Fire Company extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and fellow troopers of Pennsylvania State Trooper Timothy O’Connor, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty.

During this difficult time, our firehouse will remain lit in blue as a sign of respect and solidarity with our brothers and sisters in law enforcement. We stand with the Pennsylvania State Police and the entire law enforcement community as they grieve this tremendous loss.

Please keep Trooper O’Connor’s loved ones and fellow troopers in your thoughts and prayers.

Dear Residents of the Borough of Upland,
“Effective from 6 AM Sunday, February 22, 2026 to 8 PM Monday, February 23, 2026, Mayor William Dennon has declared a snow emergency for the Borough of Upland anticipating the arrival of a winter storm that could potentially drop 4-18 inches of snow on our area or more. The heavy snow could make many roads impassable and may produce widespread power outages due to the weight of the snow on tree limbs and power lines. We are requiring as a condition of the state of emergency that all non-essential vehicles remain off the roads to allow our first responders, public safety and emergency management personnel to respond to any emergencies. Further, we ask that all emergency routes be cleared of vehicles so that the plows are able to clear the snow from the streets! Wherever possible, please park your vehicles in your driveways or off the roads to help our plowing efforts".
