Firefighters were called about 9:30 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2026 to Chapters Supportive Living (formerly Moehle Assisted Living) on Newcastle Road in Washington, IL.

👉🏼 All forty residents were safely evacuated from the three-story building. Residents were taken to a nearby facility for temporary shelter.”
👉🏼”When we showed up we had flames up on all three stories on the exterior of the building, starting to get into the attic space.” Quotes from WFD Fire Chief Tyler Gee as per news reports.
👉🏼The State Fire Marshal was on the scene to investigate the cause.

THANK YOU to our Washington Fire Department……AND firefighters from East Peoria, Morton, Eureka-Goodfield, Germantown Hills who provided mutual aid AND our Washington Police Department ‼️
