The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Benefits Delivery at Discharge (BDD) Program allows Soldiers to apply for VA disability compensation benefits between 180 and 90 days prior to their separation date. The intent of the BDD program is to deliver a claims decision as soon as possible following separation.
