💚 OPERATION GREEN LIGHT FOR VETERANS 💚
🇺🇸 Let’s Light Up Our County Green!

This Veterans Day, let’s come together as a community to honor the men and women who have served our country.

We’re inviting everyone across our county—cities, townships, businesses, organizations, and residents—to display a green light during the week of Veterans Day.

💚 How can you participate?
- Change a light bulb to green or display a green light at your home or business.
- Encourage your workplace or community organization to participate.
- Share a photo of your green light and help spread the word!

Operation Green Light is more than a light in a window. It’s a visible reminder that our veterans, service members, and their families are valued, appreciated, and never forgotten.

Our commitment to veterans continues year-round through community partnerships and advocacy. Let’s work together to make this a countywide effort and show our veterans that we stand behind them—not just on Veterans Day, but every day.

💚 Light up your home. Light up your business. Light up our county.

Space is limited, and registration helps organizers plan seating and the light meal.

For Objects of War, participants are invited to bring an item connected to military service or the experience of war and conflict — such as dog tags, a service member’s good luck charm, a photograph, a letter, or a family heirloom — and share the story behind it. Guided by trained facilitators, the evening will explore why we hold on to certain objects and how those objects help us better understand the human impacts of war. Participants should come prepared to share a story, listen to others, and enjoy a light meal together.
