Healthy and Free Tennessee is a network of advocates and organizations united to advance reproductive equity and freedom across the state.

We fight for better access to care and against policies that criminalize reproductive choices. We envision a joy-filled, abundant, interdependent world in which all people can thrive and be free from oppression. We envision a world where everyone has the space and autonomy to make decisions for themselves and their families within their communities. We seek to bring about a world that values connection, safety, rest, and pleasure, and that harmonizes with Mother Earth.

✨Orixa Healing Arts Wellness and Spiritual Centre and Healthy And Free Tennessee want to invite you to Burnt Offerings: Haints and Saints a Halloween day party to build power for care over punishment for people using cannabis. Will be gathering in Memphis on Saturday, October 31 from 11 AM to 2 PM to talk, listen, learn and party. Costumes encouraged, but not required. Location provided after registration.

This event is for families impacted by the family policing system better known as DCS or the child welfare system. We invite families who have experienced separation from either DCS, ICE, or the prison industry to come out and share their stories, free of shame and stigma. You’ll have the opportunity to share a meal with HFTN staff to learn how HFTN can further support families impacted by the family policing system. LINK IN BIO

Healthy and Free is holding community listening circles for families impacted by the family policing system. These circles provide a space for families to come together realize we are not alone, and share a meal as we support one another in the effort to bring home all family members stolen from us by the state.

On July 5, 2026, National Guard troops connected to the Memphis Safe Task Force fatally shot and killed Tyrin Johnson, a 20-year-old Black man. Tyrin was one out of four individuals who have been killed in Memphis by the National Gaurd in less than 60 days. The occupation in Memphis needs to end. Tyrin should be with his family and enjoying fatherhood with his new baby. We honor his life gone to soon here in Tennessee. May he rest in power.
