SA huge thank you to Sergeant Laura Grantham and K9 Estie () for visiting our MGM Forensic Science classes!

Students learned about their incredible work protecting children through internet safety education and electronic storage device detection. Estie is specially trained to locate hidden electronic devices that may contain evidence in investigations involving crimes against children.

Beyond their investigative work, Sgt. Grantham and Estie are making a difference through Estie's Besties, an initiative featuring children's books, educational activities, and resources designed to help families have important conversations about online safety.

We are so grateful they took the time to share their knowledge and experiences with our students! 🩵

A little spooky fun with our Tiny Vikes! 🐈‍⬛🎃

Our FBLA students teamed up with our Pre-K classes for a fun service project, helping our littlest Vikings create their very own black cat crafts! We love seeing our older Vikings give back, connect with our youngest learners, and make special memories along the way!

Last week, we celebrated the official ribbon cutting for our new Pre-K playground! 🛝

A huge thank you to Mobile County Public Schools and Senator Jack Williams for their contributions in making this exciting addition possible! We are so grateful for this investment in our youngest learners and the opportunity to give our Tiny Vikes a fun new space to play, explore, and grow! 🩵

Our future Vikings at Semmes Middle School participated in Mobile Launch: Middle School Career Fair today. A partnership between Mobile County Public Schools Career & Technical Education and the Mobile Chamber, Mobile Launch gave students the opportunity to connect with local employers, explore career pathways and discover possibilities for their futures. From manufacturing and health care to radio, real estate, heating and air conditioning, public service and first responders, students got an up-close look at the many opportunities available right here in our community!

Students also connected with education and training partners, including Bishop State Community College, the University of South Alabama, Faulkner Career Tech Center and JROTC program. Partners such as Austal, Airbus, Outokumpu, Alabama Power and the City of Mobile helped bring these career opportunities to life.

By connecting students with local industries, employers and training programs, Mobile Launch helps them begin thinking about their next steps and the many paths available after graduation.
