Join us for an inspiring Volunteer & Nonprofit Tour at Sweet Cheeks Diaper Ministry on Thursday, July 16, from 9:30–11:00 A.M. as we get a behind-the-scenes look at how this impactful Memphis nonprofit is helping meet one of the most overlooked basic needs in our community.

During the tour, guests will explore the organization’s warehouse operations, learn about the growing issue of diaper need across the Mid-South, and discover how Sweet Cheeks is providing diapers, formula, period products, and other essential supplies to families in need. Nationally, 1 in 2 families struggle to afford enough diapers, and programs like SNAP and WIC do not cover them — creating a significant burden for many parents.

This experience will offer an opportunity to better understand the challenges local families face, hear the story behind the ministry’s mission, and learn practical ways individuals and businesses can help make a difference in the lives of children and caregivers throughout our region.

As part of Global Volunteer Month, we’re spotlighting the indelible impact of Mark Harden, a long-time volunteer with the Humane Society of Memphis & Shelby County and Lead Project Manager at Varco Pruden Buildings.

Since 2011, Mark has donated his time and heart to animal welfare—walking dogs, building shelters, and most importantly, helping countless animals find their forever homes.

What started as a way to heal after the loss of his own pets turned into a lifelong mission of love and service. Mark’s volunteerism has inspired his workplace, his friends, and people across Memphis—and his story is a beautiful reminder that even two hours a week can create a lifetime of change.

How will you give back this month during : https://volunteerodyssey.com/2026/03/20/global-volunteer-month-april-2026/
