Preserve Roswell Update: Ribbon Cutting Thursday, July 9 10:30 AM at King & Hardscrabble for Multi-Use Trail:

The City of Roswell has wrapped construction on a key section of its growing multi-use trail network as part of a broader initiative called “Slow Down in Roswell” that aims to link together schools, parks, neighborhoods, the city’s historic downtown, and other destinations.

The $2.5-million project, which broke ground in September, focused on key arteries north of downtown Roswell:

Crabapple Road Resurfacing Update—Rolling Lane Closures

Work is underway on Crabapple Road as part of the final phase of the City’s 2025 resurfacing program.

Due to mechanical issues last week, the contractor experienced delays that extended work originally planned to correspond with Fulton County’s spring break into this week.

Project Timing:
• April 13-14: Crews are currently completing a section of Crabapple Road near Strickland Road.
• April 14–16: Hembree Road to Rucker Road
• Upcoming: Rucker Road to the City limit at Houze Road. Timing will be confirmed as the project moves forward.

Work Hours:
9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

What to Expect:
• Rolling lane closures with flaggers on site to help with traffic
• Temporary traffic delays
• Lane closures will be limited during school dismissal (2:05–3:05 p.m.)
• Access to homes and businesses will be maintained.

Thank you for your patience as we complete this year’s resurfacing work!

🚧Road Work Alert: Hardscrabble Road Resurfacing During Spring Break🚧

Contractors for the City of Roswell will resurface Hardscrabble Road between King Road and Woodstock Road (SR 92) next week, April 6-10, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily. The road will be closed to through-traffic during these working hours, but flaggers will maintain residential access to neighborhoods along the corridor.

By scheduling this work during Fulton County Schools’ Spring Break—when nearby Roswell High School is not in session and many families are traveling—we aim to reduce impacts on daily traffic. Additionally, closing the road to through traffic during this time will reduce the total number of days required for the resurfacing work from eight days to four days. Please plan ahead, follow posted signage, and expect delays.

📅 April 6–10, 2026
⏲️ 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. daily
Daytime road closures will be in place in active work zones, with detours for through traffic routed via King Road and Woodstock Road (SR 92).

👉Will I be able to get in and out of my neighborhood?
Flaggers will be on-site throughout construction to maintain residential access along Hardscrabble Road. Emergency access will also be maintained to neighborhoods along the corridor, including to Georgian Terrace (assisted living facility).

👉Will it affect access to Roswell Corners (Target shopping center)?
Yes, three entrances/exits on Hardscrabble Road will be affected. Access from Woodstock Road (SR 92) and Mountain Park Road will remain open.
