A little digging, a lot of discovery! 📜

The North Carolina Museum of Art’s Ancient Nubia: Excavating Treasures of the Nile exhibition opens TODAY, and we’re thrilled to see our Digital Dig interactive come to life!

Last night’s sneak preview brought together an incredible crowd from across the community, and it was so exciting to see everyone getting a first look.

Through Digital Dig, visitors can uncover ancient artifacts by virtually brushing away layers of sand, bringing a little hands-on discovery to thousands of years of history.

A huge thank you to the NCMA team and their Teen Arts Council for inviting us to collaborate on this experience. It’s especially meaningful to see young voices play a role in shaping how museum stories are told.

He’ll “Phillip” your life with space facts, technical wizardry, kindness, and probably a horse story or two. 🤠

This month’s team spotlight goes to Phillip Wright, our Sr. Backend Developer and one of the absolute best people to have around.

Phillip is insanely smart, endlessly patient, and somehow equally at home building a CMS, talking about outer space, working on something in his shop, or hanging out with his horses.

He’s been a huge part of what makes Relative Scale what it is, both in the work he does and the kind of person he is.

Team Spotlight ✨ Meet Lizz Alfano, Senior Producer at Relative Scale.

Producing immersive experiences means juggling a lot of moving pieces, and Lizz is one of the people who helps turn all of those pieces into something real. She works across teams, disciplines, timelines, and client conversations to help projects move from big ideas to finished experiences.

But this spotlight isn’t really about a job description. It’s about the person behind it. Lizz is deeply appreciated by the people she works with, and the comments from her teammates say plenty about the kind of presence she brings to Relative Scale.

This Tuesday, we traded the office for the ballpark and did something a little different. ⚾️🐂

The Relative Scale team gathered in a private suite at a Durham Bulls game for an evening of baseball, good food, and even better company.

Sometimes the best team building is simply getting out of the usual environment and enjoying something together. 🙌

Memory Lane Monday 🐺

This one officially turned 10 years old 😳

Reynolds Coliseum at NC State was getting a major transformation, and we helped bring decades of Wolfpack history to life through five interactive experiences in the new Walk of Fame and History.

Visitors could step up to the massive eight-screen Wolfpack Wall and literally interact with the Pack, dig into legendary athletes and championship moments, test their Wolfpack knowledge, and revisit the lasting legacies of Kay Yow and Jim Valvano.

It’s fun looking back at projects like this and realizing how much of what still excites us today was already there: physical spaces meeting digital storytelling, playful interaction, and technology that gives people a new way into a story.

A decade later, we’re still pretty proud of this one. ❤️

We made the list! 🎉

Relative Scale is officially part of the 2026 Inc. 5000, recognizing the fastest-growing private companies in America.

We spend our days dreaming up strange ideas, figuring out how to actually make them work, building them, testing them, traveling with them, installing them, and eventually getting to see people experience them in the real world.

So yes, this is a pretty exciting milestone. But mostly, it feels like a reason to celebrate the people who made it possible.

Our team. Our clients. Our partners. And everyone who has trusted us with an idea and let us run with it.

We’re incredibly lucky to do what we do, with the people we get to do it with.

Today, we’re celebrating that. 🥂
