Goodbye Elementary School…..hello Middle School 🖤💛

One thing about Locust Grove Elementary School is we always make sure to send our 5th grade Eagles out with love, memories, and lots of celebration. Last week we had the honor of celebrating this amazing group as they closed one chapter and prepared to begin a brand new adventure.
We are so proud of the growth, friendships, laughter, and accomplishments these students have made during their time at LGES. Middle school is gaining an incredible group of students, leaders, and future changemakers.

Once an Eagle, always an Eagle 🦅

Having officially started our summer break a week ago, I am still reflecting on the previous week of school. Field Day 2026 was truly one of a kind, as we spent hours outdoors as a school, soaking up the sunshine and engaging in fantastic activities. ☀️💦

We were pleased to welcome the Cardinals to LGES for their third-grade tour this week! The students enjoyed a tour guided by our student ambassadors, reviewed SOARing expectations, and played a game with our third-grade teachers. These students will join us as Eagles in August, and we are excited for their transition.

🧥 Lost & Found or New Clothing Boutique? 🧢

Our elementary school Lost & Found is overflowing with jackets, hoodies, water bottles, lunchboxes, and mystery items no one has claimed. At this point, we could outfit an entire third grade class. 😅

Please check for your child’s missing items and pick them up by **Monday, May 18th**.

After May 18th, all unclaimed items will be donated.

Your child may not recognize their coat… but we promise you probably paid for it. 😂

Teacher Appreciation Week was a huge success, and we are grateful to everyone who contributed to its festivities. Our sincere appreciation goes out to all who donated items to enrich this week. Our teachers and staff delighted in a lovely Panera breakfast, sweets, Bundt cakes, and Olive Garden treats.
