Whether it's a detailed community update or a trending reel, the mission stays the same:

Protect lives. Share critical information. Build trust. Serve our communities.

Different styles. Different platforms. Same commitment to keeping the residents of San Bernardino, Inyo, Mono, and Los Angeles Counties informed, prepared, and safe.

At the end of the day, it's not about the algorithm—it's about the people we serve.

Recently, Battalion 4 personnel and Owens Valley Conservation Camp put the Unit chipper to work in Inyo County, supporting hazard tree mitigation projects at the Inyo County Fairgrounds, Mill Pond Park, and community defensible space events in Wilkerson and Starlite.

Following the significant wind event on May 17, the chipper also played a key role in helping mitigate storm-related tree and limb damage throughout the region.

A great example of how partnerships, prevention, and the right tools can help keep our communities safer and more resilient.
