The Evansville Police Department was excited to attend the YMCA’s YES! 2K26 Young Men’s Empowerment Summit today!

Sergeant Todd Mattingly and Detective Bryan Brown had the opportunity to speak with some of the young men about sextortion, the dangers surrounding it, and the importance of recognizing and reporting it.

Several of our officers also joined the students for lunch, where they traded their usual duties for drink refill duty! We met some pretty incredible young men today, including one student who took it upon himself to refill our officers’ cups. And while he may have just been filling drinks, he filled our cups in more ways than one.

Thank you to the YMCA for inviting us to be part of a day focused on educating, empowering, and connecting with the next generation!
