During the lunch session of the 2026 Governor’s Policy Summit on Healthy Aging, Director McElroy hosted two panel conversations: one with Rick Carfagna of the Ohio Chamber of Commerce and Jenny Carlson of AARP Ohio. The other featured Adam Axcell of National Church Residences, Dave Cocagne of Vermilion Development, Ann Conn of The McGregor Foundation, and Kelly O’Reilly of the Ohio Association of Health Plans.

Both conversations centered on the economics of healthy aging, and how we can strengthen and modernize the systems that will carry Ohio into the future.

Temperatures are heating up again across Ohio.

Be sure to stay hydrated, wear protective clothing if you are outdoors, and try to spend time in a place that has air conditioning, such as a library, senior center, or a friend's home, if your home does not have AC.

And be sure to check on your older adult family, friends, and neighbors.
