Onward sate article about "more security" for this weekend.
http://onwardstate.com/2013/04/16/penn-state-heightens-security-for-blue-white-game/
The idea of "more security for our sake" is nonsense because random acts of terror are "RANDOM" and very hard to prevent! The probability of another attack happening so soon, and near YOU is also very unlikely. This additional "security" will merely provide a false sense of safety and be a waste of money. To sum up, this is a purely reactionary move to a horrble occurance in Boston that achieves nothing, unless there exists (my suspicions) a more sinister plot to crack down on pot smokers for 4/20.

In the wake of the Boston Marathon attack, Penn State is heightening security for Saturday's Blue-White Game.

Mr. James Duane, a professor at Regent Law School and a former defense attorney, tells you why you should never agree to be interviewed by the police.

I am sure that most of you by now have heard about the so called "Police crackdown" on State Patties day. The ACLU club has made contact with the official ACLU organization, which faxed the police department its concerns about the "new police procedures". I want as many students as possible to show up to todays meeting where we will be going over all these latest break- throughs (some may not care about this issue but I hope that all of us appreciate sticking it to the police). Meeting will take place in 208 Willard building at 6pm. BE THERE!!!!!!!

Dear Members
I am sorry about last weeks no show for the ACLU meeting. We no longer have our old room, instead every meeting will from now on till the end of the semester take place in 208 Willard at 6pm every Wednesday. The room is available for use tonight, but I will not be able to make it. Members are welcome to continue sessions without me. Thank you.

Sincerely Andre Lev Pavlik

I would like to inform all members of the ACLU that I have made an ass of my self by not making sure that our meeting room 220 Willard was secure. Seing as how the non-violennt occupation of the room by another club is not a violation of civil iberties I hope that all of you will roll with the punches. I filled out a request form for room 208 at the Willard building and am awaiting for a confirmation from the school. Thank you.

There will be a meeting this Wednesday as usual and the talking point will be Cyber privacy, 4th amendment and 1st amendment rights. Current events are also welcomed, so Matt should come prepared with some interesting stuff. Also the voting results for our next brown bag lunch series is a tie between cyber privacy and free speech. Thank you.
All are welcome!

Dear Members

This is a reminder that tomorrow the 23rd will be a Brown Bag Lunch at the Schlow Memorial Library at 12:00pm. The topic will be on women's reproductive health. Also there will be an ACLU meeting later on that night at 6pm 220 Willard covering Women's Rights/Abortion. I expect our female members to participate and hopefully give brief presentations on the matter. I will see you all tomorrow at both meetings. Thank you.
