As of 7:00 pm last night the determination was made to suspend operations at the 4–H building. I will still be available to assist with what I can. I want personally thank everyone who donated to our community in our time of need. A special thanks to the mutual aid electric personnel and our own city crews who worked diligently to get power restored. To all the emergency personnel, Unionville, Grant and Elm FPD, and the newly formed Sullivan County FPD. Also to the Missouri Disaster Relief teams and all the countless volunteers who have helped with meals and debris removal. Efforts are still underway with people and organizations helping out. Again a big THANK YOU to everyone .

We have received several calls about freezer food. we are in the process of acquiring dumpster services and also a dumpster for construction debris. Cheri Cason has agreed to receive some meat. You can messenger her on Facebook or call me at 660-292-2274 and i will forward the info to her.

Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible the next few days (most likely across northern Missouri). Stronger storms will be capable of producing hail to the size of quarters and wind gusts to 60 mph. Where the storms don't occur, the atmosphere will quickly heat up creating heat indices of 100-110 F.

Heat and humidity are expected to increase this weekend, with temperatures in the 90s and heat indices near/above 100 degrees. There are slight chances for storms this weekend, but most will likely remain dry.

Missouri Baptist will be serving an evening meal tonight from 4 to 6 at the 4-H building.
