🚨 Winter Weather – Please Be Prepared ❄️
As confidence continues to increase regarding a significant winter storm expected to begin this coming Saturday, we ask everyone to please heed all weather advisories and warnings.
Take time now to ensure you are prepared with essential supplies and necessities. We also encourage you to check on your neighbors, especially the elderly or those who may need extra assistance.
Also don’t forget about those outdoor pets—they may need to be brought indoors to stay safe during this severe weather.
If we receive the forecasted amount of snow, travel may be extremely dangerous, especially during the first few days. We strongly encourage everyone to limit travel as much as possible and stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary.

A significant winter storm is likely this weekend. There is still some uncertainty with the system, such as how much dry air is in place ahead of it and exactly how much snow will fall. Icing is also possible across southern portions of the Purchase and Pennyrile regions of west Kentucky. Significant impacts are likely, and those with travel plans should plan accordingly.
