Pelton4Sheriff Steve was born and raised in Franklin County. He has been married to his wife, Carla, for 26 years with three children and two grandchildren.

Steve chose to raise his family in Franklin County and co-owns successful businesses within the County. Steve is a 24 year veteran law enforcement officer beginning his career when he was 21. Being diversified, Steve brings a wealth of knowledge of experience that includes; Supervision, Criminal Investigations, Tactical Operations, Tactical Command, Narcotics, School Safety, Crime Prevention and e

xtensive knowledge of budgets. He has over 3500 hours of specialized law enforcement training which includes training from East Central College, the University of Missouri - Columbia and the Mineral Area College. Steve is a certified instructor for the Missouri Sheriff’s Association and the Police Officers Standards and Training Commission (POST).
